john@johnvdoan.comYes. Habits you add or complete on your iPhone appear on your Apple Watch and vice-versa, through your own private iCloud. There's nothing to set up and no account to create — just be signed into the same Apple ID on both devices with iCloud enabled.
Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID, iCloud is on for Streak Rings (Settings > Apple ID > iCloud), and both are on the latest app version. After updating, give it a few minutes and open the app on each device — the first sync can take a moment, and changes flow in the background after that.
No. The Apple Watch app runs fully on its own — no internet connection needed. The iPhone app is there when you want a bigger screen, and iCloud keeps the two in step.
On the Today screen, tap the habit's row. The ring fills and you'll feel a haptic. If a habit has a daily target greater than one, each tap counts once toward the target; tapping again after you reach the target resets that day to zero.
Tap the + button at the top of the Today screen. Give it a name, pick an emoji and color, choose which days it repeats (every day, weekdays, or specific days), set a daily target, and tap Add Habit.
Swipe a habit row left on the Today screen and tap Details — or open All Habits from the bottom toolbar and tap a habit. You'll see the current streak, best streak, a 30-day completion rate, this week, and a 28-day history grid.
The current streak is the number of consecutive scheduled days you've met the target, counting back from today. Today not being finished yet does not break your streak — you still have until the end of the day.
Yes. When adding or editing a habit, use the Repeat selector to choose exactly which weekdays it should appear. Habits only count toward streaks on the days they're scheduled.
Open a habit's Details screen to Edit, Archive, or Delete it. Archiving hides a habit from Today while keeping its history; you can unarchive it later. Deleting a habit removes it from all your devices once they sync.
Yes. Everything works without a connection; your changes sync through iCloud the next time you're online.
No. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no accounts. Your habits stay on your devices and in your own private iCloud, which we can't read. See the Privacy Policy for details.
