Streak Rings

Streak Rings is a calm, ad-free habit tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. It is designed to collect and share nothing with anyone but you.

Summary in one line: Streak Rings collects no personal data, has no accounts, no tracking, no ads, and no analytics. Your habits and streaks live on your devices and in your own private iCloud, which we cannot read.

What we collect

Nothing. The app does not ask for or transmit any personal information to us. There are no accounts to create, no email to enter, and no servers of ours to talk to.

What is stored, and where

The following is stored on your devices using Apple's standard database (SwiftData):

The habits you create — name, emoji, color, schedule, and daily target
Your completion history and the streaks calculated from it

So that your iPhone and Apple Watch stay in sync, the same data is also stored in your private iCloud database (CloudKit). That database belongs to your Apple ID: Apple encrypts it, only your signed-in devices can read it, and we have no access to it whatsoever.

A single preference (a first-launch flag) is stored using the system UserDefaults, declared in the app's privacy manifest under Apple reason code CA92.1.

Sync across your devices

Sync happens directly between your devices and your personal iCloud through Apple's CloudKit service — there is no third-party server in the middle. If you're not signed into iCloud, the app simply works locally on each device.

Health data

Streak Rings does not use HealthKit and does not read or write any Apple Health data. The habits you track exist only inside this app.

Third-party services

None. Streak Rings does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.

Network access

The app's only network activity is syncing your own data with your own iCloud. It makes no other network requests, and everything works offline — changes sync the next time you're online.

Deleting your data

Deleting a habit removes it and its history everywhere once your devices sync. Deleting the app removes the local copy; your iCloud copy can be removed in Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.

Children

Streak Rings is suitable for all ages (rated 4+). It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds a feature that affects privacy — we'll update this page and clearly note what changed.

Changed in this update: the app now syncs your habits between your devices through your private iCloud. Earlier versions were watch-only and stored everything on the watch. Nothing else about our approach changed: still no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking.
