Tap +, paste the product page link from any store, tap Fetch price, then Save. The app finds the name, photo, and price automatically.
Price Trail tries three ways: a quick fetch, then loading the page with the same engine Safari uses, and finally — if the store still objects — an "Open the store page" button appears. That shows the real page inside the app; complete any verification the store asks for, and the price is picked up automatically. Once a store has been verified this way, later checks usually work on their own.
If a store refuses even that, track the same product from another store, or use the link from the store's share button rather than from a search page.
Whenever you open the app (at most every 15 minutes), whenever you pull down on the list, and periodically in the background. iOS decides the exact background timing based on your usage and battery — a few times a day is typical.
By default you're notified on any price drop. Set a target price on a product to also get an alert the moment the price falls below it. You can turn "any drop" alerts off per product and keep just the target alert.
Open a product and tap Add another store, then paste the same product's page from a different retailer. The cheapest store is always highlighted, and every store gets its own line on the history chart.
An estimate computed on your device from the product's own price history — the recent trend, how volatile the price is, and where today's price sits in its tracked range. It's a hint, not a promise (and not financial advice).
