Price Trail watches product prices so you don't have to. It is designed to collect and share nothing about you.
All of it lives in the app's local database on your device and — so your iPhone and iPad stay in sync — in your private iCloud database, which Apple encrypts and which we cannot read or access.
The app talks only to the store pages you add, over HTTPS, to read the public product page — the same request your browser would make. There is no server of ours in the middle, no proxy, and no third-party service.
The "outlook" estimate (whether a price looks likely to drop) is computed entirely on your device from that product's own tracked history. Your shopping list is never sent to any AI service.
Price-drop alerts are local notifications generated on your device. They are optional and controlled in Settings.
Delete a product to remove its history, or delete the app to remove everything on the device. iCloud data can be removed in Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.
