Job Trail

Job Trail is a simple tracker for your own job applications, on iPhone and Mac. It is built to collect nothing about you — no account, no tracking, no ads, no analytics, and no servers of our own. Your data syncs only through your own private iCloud.

Summary in one line: Everything you enter — your job applications and their details — stays in your own private iCloud and on your devices. The app has no developer accounts and no developer servers; we never receive or see your data.

What we collect

Nothing about you personally. There are no accounts to create with us, no email to enter, and we operate no server that could receive your data. The app uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Your data, in your iCloud

Everything you add to Job Trail is stored on your device (using Apple's SwiftData) and synced across your own devices through your private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit), so the same list appears on your iPhone and your Mac:

This data lives in your iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and is visible only to you. We have no server and no way to access it. Deleting the app removes it from that device; removing the app's data from your iCloud (via iCloud settings) removes the synced copy.

Network use

Job Trail connects to Apple's iCloud, and only for one purpose: to sync your own job list across your own devices. It contacts no other servers and sends nothing to us or to any third party. It also works offline — your changes sync the next time you're online. Separately, if you tap a job's saved link, your device opens that web address in your default browser; at that point your browser — not Job Trail — handles the request, under its own privacy policy.

Notifications and permissions

The app requests no special permissions — no location, contacts, camera, or photos. (iCloud sync uses the iCloud account already signed in on your device; there is no separate sign-in.)

Children

Job Trail is a general-audience productivity app and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. (It collects nothing from anyone.)
